Pennine Way  -  options

The end of the Pennine Way is in our village, just a couple of hundred yards from The Farmhouse. However the last B & B available to walkers is at Byrness which is 27 miles from Kirk Yetholm. Some walkers complete the 27 miles in one day, others rough it on their last night........we offer reasonable priced accommodation at the end of the walk. However we also offer an alternative........

From the Border Gate (approximately 14 miles from Byrness) it's about two and a half miles to Cocklawfoot farm on the Scottish side, from where there's a public road; it's here that we would pick you up.
Back at The Farmhouse you can have a good rest and prepare for the next day, perhaps relaxing in the spa, or we could book you a treatment (massage perhaps?).
There will be a 3 course meal for you that night and a packed lunch prepared for your last day.
After a hearty breakfast you can take a light day pack with you when we drop you back at Cocklawfoot for the final 13 miles of the Pennine Way.

For those that have taken this option, it has meant that they have been able to really enjoy the last day of their walk and have had enough energy to go out and celebrate in the evening.
